If your child loves art and having fun, they will love our comic book summer camp.

Unleash Your Child's Creativity

Welcome to Kids Make Comics, the ultimate summer camp for budding comic book creators! Our week-long camp is designed to help kids ages eight to eleven learn all the steps involved in creating their own comic book. From brainstorming an exciting story with a beginning, middle and end, to dynamically depicting their ideas on the comic book page through the art of drawing, coloring, and lettering, we've got it all covered. Our experienced instructors will guide your child every step of the way, helping them unleash their inner creativity and develop their artistic skills.

Each day, campers will work on their pages and by the end of the week we'll have the material to publish a comic featuring all of the campers' stories!

Making Comics is fun and we are going to have a blast learning the basics together!

A good story is the foundation of any great comic book.

At Kids Make Comics, we believe that a good story is the foundation of any great comic book. That's why we teach kids how to create compelling characters, craft engaging plots, and develop a unique voice that reflects their personal style and vision.

Drawing, coloring, and lettering are all essential skills for creating a visually stunning comic book. Our instructors will teach your child the fundamentals of each of these areas, helping them bring their ideas to life on the page.

Above all else, Kids Make Comics is all about having fun! We believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience, and we strive to create a positive and supportive environment where kids can express themselves freely and explore their creativity. Each day, in addition to working on comics creation, we'll play comics related games, read age-appropriate comics (we'll have plenty on hand) and, weather permitting, we'll head out to nearby Mother Cabrini Park for lunch and some fun outdoor play.  On the last day of camp, we'll have a pizza party at The House Of Pizza, one block away.
